María is a Spanish and American arbitrator and lawyer, registered with the authorities of Dubai (Ruler’s Court) and the courts of DIFC.
Maria has obtained master’s degrees in commercial law and arbitration from the Washington University of Law of the American University (Washington DC, USA), as well as in business administration through an Executive MBA with the Instituto Empresa (Madrid, Spain). Priority he received a bachelor’s degree from Alfonso X El Sabio (Madrid, Spain) and Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw, USA).
Since her arrival in Dubai, María has developed a substantial experience in the fields of commercial structure, with a wide range of international clients. Before arriving in Dubai, María worked in the field of arbitration and commercial law from different angles – private enterprise, institutions and government. In parallel to her advocacy role, Maria acts as arbitrator with a significant number of arbitration centers in the Middle East and Africa.
María is an active member of the Spanish-speaking community in the UAE, currently serving as Vice President of the Spanish Business Council Spanish Business Council. María contributes to the preparation of future lawyers through an internship program in collaboration with various Spanish and American institutions; and, often acting as a lecturer for universities, business groups and legal organizations.
María was born in Valencia, Spain, on October 18th, 1980.
